2022 Wyndham Cultural Centre Theatre Season Announced

Wyndham City is proud to announce the Wyndham Cultural Centre 2022 Theatre Season has been released and features something to captivate everyone.

The new season features a range of shows and performances from musical tributes, comedy, emotive and poignant performances and shows that will interest our younger residents.

To coincide with the Midsumma Festival in February, the Mwangaza Theatre Company brings “Do Black Boys Go to Heaven” on 3-5 February 2022. It’s a story about Remi, a queer troublesome, ambitious, curious boy who won’t bend to the rules of his town or society.

The ever-popular musical tributes will feature throughout 2022, starting with The Travelling Wilburys SessionsFleetwood Mac Tribute – Tusk, a live circus rock tribute to the original rebel – David Bowie, the Australian Queen Tribute Show – QUEEN ROCKS – The Definitive Tribute. These dazzling musical tributes will have you singing and dancing along.

In April, our favourite Queens are coming back to Wyndham. Piano Bar Shipped will bring its most talented musicians and performances back to Wyndham. Don’t forget to bring your dancing shoes to the party.

Eclectic productions will feature in 2022, including The Retreat, a performance by Western Edge Youth Arts to “Jack and Millie” by Essence productions, STARDUST + THE MISSION by The Space Company and You are a Doughnut are some of the intriguing shows that will grace the Cultural Centre stage.

Wyndham City’s Creative Cities portfolio holder, Cr Marcel Mahfoud, said: “The uncertainty of the last few years will have people wanting to laugh and enjoy some great comedy at our local venue – the Wyndham Cultural Centre.”

“March is the comedy month, with the Comedy Festival – featuring Neighbourhood Sessions and a show by Ross Noble which will have everyone chuckling and laughing.”

“Come along and enjoy and immerse yourself in one of the fabulously entertaining shows on offer and book tickets to a show that interest you”.
