FIA continues to invest in Senior Leadership transformation with appointment of Chief Development Officer
Under the leadership of FIA President Mohammed Ben Sulayem, the Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA) continues its significant investment in the reformation and reorganisation of the Federation.
Following the recent appointments of Alberto Villarreal Gutierrez as General Manager, and Alessandra Malhamé as Senior HR Director, Habib Turki has been named as the FIA’s Chief Development Officer.
Turki, who hails from Tunisia and previously served as Director of Tourism Services, has played a key role in fostering partnerships with the United Nations and various NGOs, growing the FIA’s global presence.
With his extensive experience in trade and development from his tenure at the UN and international organisations, Turki will focus on aligning motorsport and mobility to promote sustainable tourism and transport. His appointment comes following six years of service at the FIA.
FIA President, Mohammed Ben Sulayem, said: “I am delighted to welcome Habib into this new role. Having worked closely with him since my tenure as President began, I am confident entrusting him with the crucial ongoing task of developing our Federation.”
Newly appointed FIA Chief Development Officer, Habib Turki, said: “I am proud to be supporting the Federation as we continue to evolve, reform, and grow. Over the last six years I have worked closely with my colleagues and our partners to establish the FIA’s position globally, and I relish this new challenge.”
Through its ongoing reforms, the FIA continues to position itself as a leader in both motorsport and mobility. Under Ben Sulayem’s leadership, the organisation’s commitment to inclusivity, sustainability, and financial stability continues to drive change, and with the support of a strengthened leadership team and a clear strategy for the future, the FIA is poised to expand its influence on a global scale, enhancing the sectors in which it operates.
