F3 – FIA Formula 3 World Cup entry tweaked as build-up continues
2023 – FIA Formula 3 World Cup
The entry list for the 2023 FIA Formula 3 World Cup is almost complete following a handful of recent additions to the line-up.
Back co-headlining the Macau Grand Prix weekend for the first time since 2019, the FIA Formula 3 World Cup has attracted 26 confirmed entries from 20 countries so far with one remaining slot to be finalised.
MP Motorsport, which guided Richard Verschoor to FIA Formula 3 World Cup glory four years ago, has completed its three-car attack by adding Marcus Armstrong (pictured at Macau in 2019). The New Zealander, 23, is the IndyCar Series’ Rookie of the Year for this year and finished eighth on both of his two previous Macau appearances.
Hitech Pulse-Eight’s FIA Formula 3 World Cup challenge is completed by Alex Dunne. The Irish teenager, who turns 18 on November 11, finished runner-up in the UK-based GB3 Championship in 2023 with Hitech.
ART Grand Prix has revised its Macau line-up with Dutch teenager Laurens van Hoepen replacing Swiss driver Grégoire Saucy. Van Hoepen, 18, raced for ART in Formula Regional European and Oceania championship events in 2023.
Rodin Carlin’s third driver remains to be announced, the UK-based team previously confirming two-time FIA Formula 3 World Cup winner Dan Ticktum and Macau rookie Zane Maloney.
The 2023 FIA Formula World Cup takes place on the Guia Circuit in Macau from November 16-19. The event co-headlines the 70th Macau Grand Prix weekend with the FIA GT World Cup.
