Nordic Esports Championship gets green light!
2024 will see the first official Nordic Esports champion, when simracers from five nations will battle it out for virtual glory. The Nordic esports racers will compete for the honours in true Nordic style – in rallycross combined with single seaters.
On April 27th, the first Nordic Esports Champion will raise the virtual trophy. Before that, 25 digital racers will have to show their skills across two very different motorsport disciplines – circuit racing in FIA F4 and rallycrossing in the very potent Rallycross Supercars in the iRacing title.
Nordic Esports Championship 2024 is a new initiative from the motorsport authorities in five different Nordic countries – Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway and Sweden. Each federation will nominate 5 drivers that will go in to battle.
Ten of the drivers will compete for points in rallycross races at Lånkebanen (Hell) rallycross circuit, and the remaining 15 will compete at Rudskogen in the FIA F4. The total points of each nation will count towards the Nordic Esports Championship 2024 title.
The Nordic federations, NBF, DASU, AKK, AKIS, SBF will each nominate 5 drivers to represent their respective colours.
Nordic Esports Championship 2024 will run from 10:00 to 15:30 CET and will be broadcast live on YouTube.
The Nordic Esports Championship has received funding from the FIA Motorsport Funding Program.
