Empowering Leaders of Tomorrow: Successful 12th Edition of the FIA University Emerging Leaders Programme Held in Madrid

The 12th edition of the FIA University Emerging Leaders Programme successfully concluded in Madrid, Spain. The programme, aiming to empower young leaders from the FIA network, was delivered by ESADE Business School and FIA Senior Executives.

Designed for FIA Members’ high potential executives or recently appointed first line executives, this programme aims to help them develop new skills and get acquainted with new leadership styles.

With dedicated sessions on ‘Leadership & Communication’, ‘Developing Strategic Mindsets’, ‘Partnership & Ecosystems: Building a Culture of Collaboration’, and ‘leading change’, this year’s five-day programme gave participants the tools to become outstanding Leaders able to implement impactful projects that have the potential to shape the future of their organisations.

The combination of intensive learning, experiential sessions, interactive lectures and hands-on challenges fostered the active engagement of participants. This multi-dimensional approach encouraged them to apply theoretical knowledge to practical case studies and enhanced skill development.

A highlight of the programme was an inspiring session with FIA CEO Natalie Robyn who shared insights with the Member Clubs’ participants on her personal experience as a leading international executive in the automotive sector and on how she is delivering an agenda of reform within the FIA to drive growth in motor sport and mobility.

FIA Region I President and CEO of the Real Automóvil Club de España (RACE) Jorge F. Delgado also delivered an invigorating speech on the challenges and business opportunities brought by Artificial Intelligence.

The programme also allowed participants to exchange experience with each other as well as with ESADE faculty, and facilitated discussions with social events, informal breaks and team-building activities such as a cooking class.

The week concluded with a visit to the Jarama circuit, where participants got a unique opportunity to understand the history, activities and business model of this historic circuit, before taking part in different motor sport and team-building activities organised on site.
