Woman charged following aggravated home invasion in Truganina
Wyndham Crime Investigation Unit detectives have charged a teenager following an aggravated home invasion in Truganina early this morning.
Investigators have been told three offenders entered a home via a window on Troitta Way whilst a family of five were sleeping about 1.20am.
Once inside the premises the offenders allegedly stole the victim’s car keys before they were disturbed by the victim.
It is alleged the trio fled the scene with a resident giving chase and catching one of the girls who was held down until police arrived.
The two outstanding offenders allegedly assaulted the victim to free their associate but failed.
The 33-year-old male victim sustained minor injuries.
A 17-year-old Werribee girl has since been charged with aggravated home invasion.
She has been remanded to appear before a Children’s Court at a later date.
The other two offenders remain on the run and the investigation is ongoing.
They are described as African in appearance.
