Werribee City Centre’s New Multi-Level Car Park

Wyndham City’s new undercover multi-storey car park has opened.

The new Hunter Werribee Public Car Parkboasts 167 undercover spaces available for the public, including eight accessible parking spaces. It is located within the new Holiday Inn building, in the heart of Werribee on the corner of Synnot Street and Duncans Road. Entry is via Synnot Street or Rushford Lane.

Customers can park up to three hours free each day. A fee does apply for usage longer than three hours.

Wyndham Mayor Cr Adele Hegedich said: “Our commitment to supporting the continued growth of Werribee City Centre’s vibrant business district has been demonstrated through the addition of the new undercover public parking facility in the heart of our City.”

The car park is the latest investment by the Council in Werribee City Centre and more than doubles the size of the previous open-air car park located on site, prior to the development of the Holiday Inn.

The Hunter Werribee Public Car Park will be open 365 days per year. It features elevator access and CCTV surveillance for additional customer safety. The car park also features an advanced guidance system with dynamic signage that displays the number of available parking spaces, as well as lights that show where these spaces are located.

Additionally, the car park features a high-tech, ticket-less parking management system that uses number plate reading technology. For visitors using the car park for three hours or more, all payments are by credit card and cash free.

“The new high-tech, multi-storey car park is a safe, accessible, affordable and central parking facility for Werribee City Centre customers and workers,” Cr Adele Hegedich said.

“Being in the heart of the City centre, it’s only a short walk along well-lit paths to a bright new facility with CCTV surveillance providing additional safety for workers and long-stay parkers.”

“We’d encourage everyone, particularly workers and traders, to try the new safe and secure car park.”

Point Parking will manage the car park on behalf of Wyndham City Council. Customers can contact Point Parking by pressing the intercom button at the entry, exit or pay station within the car park at any time.

Payment is cashless, either by credit card or EFTPOS. Payment can either be made at the Pay Station (located near the lobby) before returning to your vehicle, or from your vehicle at the boom gate before exiting.
