Holdsworth “we want to finish on a high”
Ashley Seward Motorsport driver Lee Holdsworth believes it will be a frantic ending to this year’s Supercheap Auto TCR Australia Series as he targets a strong run to conclude his maiden season.
Holdsworth started his season with pole at Symmons Plains and a win followed in Race 2, but circumstances at the next three rounds have hurt his title aspirations leaving him sixth in the Supercheap Auto TCR Australia standings.
A test day prior to the Melbourne lockdowns has Holdsworth confident of winning the intense battle for second.

“We want to finish on a high, as does everyone else,” Holdsworth said.
“To finish with some podiums and race wins, that’s the aim but there’s plenty of drivers with the same objective.
“We just need to do the best job out everyone by making sure we dot our i’s and cross the t’s, and bring home some points because we’ve had too many DNFs this year.
“We need to start getting some points to finish off the series.”
Holdsworth believes performances at The Bend will follow through to the season ending Supercheap Auto Bathurst International.
“We need to get on top of the balance and make sure we have a strong run at The Bend,” he explained.
“I’m pretty confident if we have a strong run at The Bend that will carry through to Bathurst set-up as well so I don’t think it’ll be too dissimilar in the way you would set-up.”
Team owner Ashley Seward explained set-up tweaks had been made to Holdsworth’s Alfa Romeo Giulietta Veloce TCR and was keen to put these into action at a race weekend.
“We were really happy with the test, it’s just a shame we haven’t been racing,” said Seward.
The next rounds of the Supercheap Auto TCR Australia Series will be held at The Bend Motorsport Park on October 15-17.
