Point Cook woman arrested following Road Rage incident
Detectives from Wyndham Crime Investigation Unit have arrested a 34-year-old Point Cook woman following an incident in Point Cook on Saturday night.
Investigators have been told a 22-year-old woman and a 14-year-old girl were struck by a car in a car park off Boardwalk Boulevard about 11.10pm.
Investigators had been told two vehicles were involved in the incident in Point Cook. The vehicles pulled over at a car park on Boardwalk Boulevard and the female driver and a female occupant of the first vehicle exited their car.
They approached the second vehicle, which had stopped behind them, and a verbal argument ensued.
The pair started walking back towards their vehicle and it is alleged the driver of the other car drove at the pair and hit them.
The driver of the first car was dragged and run over while the passenger was flung to the side of the road.
It’s alleged the offending car then turned around and drove off.
The 22-year-old was taken to hospital with serious injuries while the 14-year-old was treated at the scene.
The 34-year-old woman has been interviewed by detectives and charged with intentionally cause injury, reckless conduct endangering life, drive manner dangerous and failing to stop at the scene of a collision.
She has been bailed to appear at Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on 19 August.
