Road Rage in Point Cook

Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding an alleged road rage incident which occurred in Point Cook last night.

Investigators have been told the occupants of two vehicles were involved in an incident in Point Cook about 11.10pm

The vehicles pulled over at a car park on Boardwalk Boulevard and the female driver and a female occupant of the first vehicle exited their car.

They approached the second vehicle, which had stopped behind them, and a verbal argument ensued.

The pair started walking back towards their vehicle and it is alleged the driver of the other car drove at the pair and hit them.

The driver of the first car was dragged and run over while the passenger was flung to the side of the road.

It’s alleged the offending car then turned around and drove off.

The 22-year-old driver was taken to hospital with serious injuries while the passenger, a 14-year-old girl, was treated at the scene.

The driver of the other vehicle involved is yet to be identified.
