Tarneit arrests following pursuit

Police have arrested four people following a pursuit in the western suburbs.

Officers were called to a suspicious vehicle in Keilor Downs about 6.50pm this evening.

An allegedly stolen Jeep was spotted by members but drove off before it could be intercepted.

The Jeep was then observed driving erratically along the Western Ring Road.

Police attempted to intercept the vehicle but disengaged due to safety concerns.

The Jeep was followed Tarneit where it is alleged the car was dumped and two occupants got into a silver Holden Commodore which already had two men onboard.

Police again followed the vehicle and managed to deploy stop sticks and arrest the occupants.

Currently a 23-year-old Tarneit man, a 17-year-old Tarneit boy and a 22-year-old and 19-year-old man are assisting police with their enquires.
